This shirt represents where i am in my journey. When a storm comes, trees are strong and do not fall because they have taken the time to build themselves up before reaching new heights. A skinny sapling would not be able to withstand much if it were as tall as an old oak tree. The oak tree took time to develop its base and roots (stay based, Lil B), allowing it to establish a strong foundation. In the same way, if you were put in your dream position, you would not be able to handle it as well if you had not built up prerequisite skills. The issue is we don't know what prerequisites we need because our plan differs from the Lords. He has bigger things that need to be done that weren't in our plans, so you will practice things that seem irrelevant. You will learn lessons that don't make sense, and go through hard times that seem rotten. But he tells us that if you are faithful, the Lord will put you in a position to build yourself up first. If he gave you all you wanted and gave you the height of an old oak tree, it would not be sustainable, and you would fall. Trust in the Lord, lean on him, he will build your foundation with you. “Jesus replied, ‘You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.’” “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God.’” “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
